Core of What We Believe

God

We believe there is one God and only one God. He is the Creator of all things. (Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 4:6)

Holy Trinity

We believe that God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-18; John 10:30; Colossians 1:15-17; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ came down to the earth in human form. Jesus is the Son of the Living God, through Him we have hope for eternal life. (Philippians 2:5-8)

Holy Spirit

We believe that there is one Spirit, who is God, that dwells within born-again believers and empowers the Church. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

Salvation

We believe that for a person to receive salvation they must repent from their sin and believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who is the only means by which one can receive the gift of salvation. This gift of salvation is presented through the Holy Word of God, the Holy Bible, which is inspired, inerrant, and authoritative.  (John 3:16-18; John 14:6; Acts 4:10-12; 2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:17-18)

Baptism

We believe that a person must be baptized by full submersion in water to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and forgiveness for their sins. (Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-38)

Communion

Every Sunday we partake in the Lord’s Supper. It is our response to God’s faithfulness and love in sending His Son to die for our sins. We partake in communion in remembrance of this act of love. (1 Corinthians 11: 23-29)

The Great Commission

We believe that, as followers of Christ, we are to witness to non-believers and to all the nations of the world, to bring them the Good News of the Gospel, the Gift of Salvation that is available to all. (Matthew 28:19-20)
