20-20 Vision

The end of the year gives us an opportunity to reflect upon the past year and what has happened in our own lives and in the lives of others. It is a good time for us to reflect upon the blessings of the Lord and how the Lord has been with us whether in good times or bad times, whether we were on top of the mountain or down in the valley.

The Lord promises to be with us at all times and never forsake us. I can have a tendency to take the precsence of the Lord for granted when things are going good. But I can sure seek his help when things are not so good. you have often heard me say in my prayers, "Lord, I am thankful that you know where we are, what is going on in our lives and how we feel." It has been asked, "When Id o not feel as close to God as I should, who moved?" God didn't move, I did!

As we begin a new year be determined to have your life focused on the Lord at all times and do not allow Satan to mess you up. I had a dear friend in the church say to me the other day, "Satan sure works on us, doesn't he? But he is not going to win in my life. God is."

Philippians 3:14 - "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Let's have "20-20" vision as we look to the Lord in 2020!

Thankful to be your preacher,

Brother Jim
